Chinese Ambassador Yang Houlan presents the Letter of Credence to President Yadav

Chinese new Ambassador to Nepal, Mr. Yang Houlan presented the Letter of Credence to President Yadav in the president's residence on 20 June, 2011. Chief of Army Staff Mr. Gurung, Secretary of Office of President Mr. Nupani, Secretary of Ministry of Foreign Affairs Mr. Bhattarai, Joint Secretary of Ministry of Foreign Affairs Mr. Nepal and Ambassador Yang's spouse Mrs. Ruan Wei, Political Counselor of Chinese Embassy Mrs. Xi Hui, Commercial Counselor of Chinese Embassy Mr. Bai Dongmin attended the ceremony.

Ambassador Yang conveyed Chinese President Hu Jintao's cordial greetings to President Yadav, and said he would make unremitting efforts to further promote the comprehensive cooperative partnership between the two countries.

President Yadav requested Ambassador Yang to convey his cordial greetings to President Hu. He said that the Government of Nepal would firmly pursue the One China Policy, and the territory of Nepal would never be allowed to be used for anti-China activities by any forces. He also said the Nepali side would actively support and work with Ambassador Yang, to jointly promote the Nepal-China relations.

Ambassador Yang Houlan arrived in Kathmandu to assume his office on 18 June, 2011 and presented the copy of the Letter of Credence to Mr. Bhatta, the Chief of Protocol Department of Ministry of Foreign Affairs on 19 June, 2011.
