On September 15, 2009, H.E. Mr. Qiu Guohong, Ambassador of the People’s Republic of China to Nepal, attended the Evening Gala of Chinese Language and Culture in Kathmandu. The gala, jointly organized by the Chinese Embassy in Nepal and Confucius Institute at Kathmandu University, featured the performances directed by Chinese volunteer teachers in Nepal and presented by their Nepalese students. Together with the exhibitions of Chinese culture and language, the gala contributed to a large-scale promotion program of Chinese language and culture in Nepal.
