| Chinese Doctors Saved a Nepalese Student in Shandong Province |

With the careful treatment of Chinese medical experts, a Nepalese student in China finally survived an extensive vein thrombosis which nearly took away his life, and will soon recover and leave hospital. Kairy, a 21-year-old Nepalese boy, is studying at Weifang Medical College in Shandong Province of China. On November 27, 2007, he felt very painful in his paunch all of a sudden, and was soon sent to the hospital affiliated to Weifang Medical College. After examination, doctors diagnosed the illness he suffered as extensive vein thrombosis and the boy's situation was very dangerous. Head of the hospital immediately organized specialists to treat Kairy with scientific therapy methods. Finally the blocked vein got through, and the young boy was saved. "It was Chinese doctors and teachers who gave me the second life", said Kairy, with tears in the eyes and in not fluent Chinese. Now, Kairy has almost come to healing and doctors say he can leave hospital after consolidating treatment for another several days. It is said that Kairy's illness had drawn wide attention from both the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of PRC and the local government of Weifang City. Some officials even called to be updated with his illness' development. |
