Rt. Hon. Mr. Wang Zhongyu, vice Chairman of the National Committee of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference, paid a visit to Nepal from September 24 to 26,2007 at the invitation of Legislature-Parliament of Nepal. During the visit, Rt. Hon. Mr. Wang Zhongyu respectively paid calls on Rt. Hon. Mr. G. P. Koirala, Prime Minister of the Government of Nepal and Rt. Hon. Mr. Subas Nembang, Speaker of Legislature-Parliament of Nepal.

During the meetings, Mr. Wang Zhongyu says that China and Nepal are good neighbors linked by mountains and rivers, and the bilateral relations between China and Nepal has witnessed fast and steady development since the establishment of diplomatic relations between the two countries in 1955. He further stresses that China sincerely hopes Nepal can realize peace, stability, development and prosperity at the earliest. Rt. Hon. Mr. Koirala and Rt. Hon. Mr. Nembang both emphasize the good relations and pure friendship between the two countries and two peoples, and reiterate the commitment that Nepal will continue to pursue one China Policy to consolidate and strengthen the bilateral relations.

At the meeting with Nepalese Speaker, Mr. Wang Zhongyu, on behalf of the Chinese side, donates to Nepalese side some materials equivalent to 300,000RMB (or 2.61million Rupees).
