H.E. Ambassador Yang Houlan Holds a Thank You Reception for the Nepali side for Premier Wen Jiabao's Successful Visit to Nepal

On January 17, 2012 H.E. Mr. Yang Houlan, Chinese Ambassador to Nepal, held a Thank You Reception to express gratitude to the Nepali side for their thoughtful arrangements and warm hospitality for Premier Wen Jiabao's successful visit. More than 100 persons attended, including Rt. Hon. Mr. Nembang, Speaker of the Constituent Assembly, Rt. Hon. Army Chief Mr. Gurung, H.E. Mr. Shrestha, Chief of Armed Police Force, Secretary (Deputy Minister) for Ministry of Finance Mr. Baskota, Secretary for Ministry of Information and Communications Mr. Gautam, and Officers from the President and the Prime Minister's office, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Police Headquarters, representatives from friendly organizations and media.

Ambassador Yang thanked the Government and people of Nepal for their careful and thoughtful arrangements for Premier Wen's successful visit. Yang said that Premier Wen was the first Chinese Premier to visit Nepal since 2001, which would be very important for the China-Nepal relations. With the joint efforts and sincere cooperation of both sides, the visit was a complete success, as the Nepali side said the visit was an important milestone in our bilateral ties. He hoped the two sides could seize the great opportunity for the development of bilateral relations to continue mutual cooperation and support, and to make efforts to implement the consensus reached by leaders of the two countries for promoting the bilateral Comprehensive Cooperative Partnership.

H.E. Mr. Bhata, Chief of Protocol Division of Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Nepal, on behalf of Nepali side, said in his speech that Nepal and China were friendly neighbors, and had lots of exchanges and cooperation in various fields. Under the mutual cooperation of both sides, Premier Wen's official visit to Nepal was a complete success. This visit, not long but fruitful, would bound to have far-reaching impact on Nepal-China relations. He hoped that both sides could continue to maintain high-level visits, and continuously to push forward the good neighborly and friendly relations between the two countries.

The Reception was in a warm atmosphere . The Nepali side spoke highly of Premier Wen's successful visit to Nepal, which was not only fruitful, but also made the Nepali people felt warm. They believed that this visit would have long-term and significant impact on bilateral friendly relations and cooperations.
