Linked by mountains and rivers, China and Nepal enjoy ever-lasting friendship. Chinese eminent monks Faxian and Xuanzang traveled thousands of miles to Nepal to worship Buddha, and Nepali famous craftsman Arniko designed and built the White Pagoda in China. These eternal stories have witnessed long-standing and profound friendship between the two peoples. Since the establishment of diplomatic relations in 1955, China and Nepal have always been respecting, trusting and supporting each other, setting an example of equal treatment, friendly cooperation, mutual benefit between countries different in size. In 2019, President Xi Jinping paid a historic state visit to Nepal. The two countries agreed to build the Strategic Partnership of Cooperation Featuring Ever-lasting Friendship for Development and Prosperity, bringing China-Nepal relations to a new height and opening a new chapter of our friendship.

In October 2022, the 20th National Congress of the Communist Party of China was successfully held in Beijing. Under the strong leadership of the CPC Central Committee with Comrade Xi Jinping at its core, Chinese people make great strides towards building a modern socialist country in all respects and realizing the Second Centenary Goal, and advance the rejuvenation of the Chinese nation on all fronts through a Chinese path to modernization. Nepal is also actively exploring a development path suited to its national conditions to consolidate independence and achieve self-improvements, development and prosperity. As a good neighbor, friend and partner, China is willing to work with Nepal to move forward hand in hand and create a better future together.

As the 22nd Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the People's Republic of China to Nepal, I will faithfully perform my duties, strive to move forward, and write a new chapter of China-Nepal friendly cooperation in the new era by promoting bilateral exchanges and cooperation in various fields, safeguarding legitimate rights and interests of Chinese compatriots, deepening mutual understanding and trust, and accelerating building the trans-Himalayan Multi-Dimensional Connectivity Network.
