In more than two hours of interaction, Ambassador Yang and Nepalese young political leaders exchanged their views on the development of bilateral relations and bilateral youth exchanges and other topics.

In his speech, Ambassador Yang reviewed the long history of friendly exchanges between China and Nepal. He said young people represented the future of both countries, while the Nepalese youth friendly organizations would play important roles in the development of our traditional friendship. He believed the Nepal-China Friendship Youth Association and the young political leaders would do their best to promote the sustained development of China-Nepal relations.

The heads of the youth organizations of major political parties said that our friendship had a long history and a solid social foundation. The bilateral relations based on mutual respect and benefit have been deepening in the 56 years since the two countries established diplomatic relations. The Nepalese Government, political parties and people firmly pursued the One-China Policy and never allowed any forces to engage in anti-China activities on its territory. Now, China has become the world's second largest economy and Tibet has undergone enormous changes. The Nepalese youth desired to strengthen the exchanges with their Chinese counterpart in order to learn China's development experiences. The Nepalese side wished to receive the continuous help and support from China to achieve peace and stability as soon as possible and took the road of development together with its friendly neighbor.
